3D modeling of products
Not every material needs to be scanned in, often P1 Studio can also model materials from photographs in 3D. Besides materials, we can also model dimensions in 3D from technical drawings or from scans made. The exact process here depends very much on your own design techniques. In the end, we obtain in the most efficient way the digital twin of your product range.
Where many brands go wrong
After doing a search for “3D modeling,” get lost in the possibilities. As a brand, however, are you looking for high-end imagery? Then these steps of materialization and formatting the 3D model with enough polygons usually go wrong.
This step is crucial: with photorealistic 3D models of your products, a world of possibilities for creating truly high-end imagery suddenly opens up!
Exports to all files
Get the file formats & share them inside and outside your organization.
Get the extensive, heavy 3D files (with many polygons and photorealistic materialization). Often these files are in formats such as .fbx and .obj.
Then we can also provide a simplified file, these contain fewer polygons and are therefore less heavy. Often these files are for applications such as Vectorworx and Sketchup.
Digital twin off, now what?
Good news, now that all products have been perfectly recreated in 3D, we can start performing all other applications without any problem:
As mentioned above, packshots (perfect product images on a blank or neutral background) are often chosen first.
After that, atmospheric images are also often taken, thus laying the foundation for professional imagery that can be used online, as well as destined for print!
Once the foundation is laid with beautiful product renderings and 3D atmospheric images, other possibilities are often discussed such as 3D animation, XR applications.
