Which input do you need for a 3D project?
The very first step of the entire process is always to examine the potential input you can send our studio. When there are no photorealistic 3D models available, we usually start from the technical drawings of the products (usually in DWG format), as well as good HD pictures of the materials that were used for those products.
What do most brands order?
Of course, every brand is different and has different needs as a result. However, we work mainly with brands that have a collection of physical products. In that case, we usually start by creating photorealistic 3D models of their main models, so they can provide their B2B partners with these models and they can use them for design projects. Afterward, we can easily create the perfect packshots/studio images of all the different variants of the products (sizes, colors, materials etc.).
Thirdly, we will really let the products shine in lifestyle images and animation videos. Depending on the brand identity and the existing marketing campaigns, we will suggest multiple concepts to create visuals that fit perfectly within the existing vision of the marketing team.
In most cases, we’ll create a virtual location that is based on multiple references, combined with both our own creative input as well as the client’s feedback. This will then result in one or more virtual settings to “shoot” images and videos of your products, enjoying full flexibility in design, composition, camera angle, lighting, props, and surroundings.
What exactly does P1 Studio offer?
We offer companies an easy way to create visual experiences using 3D technology. In most cases, we help brands create photorealistic images and videos with our team of 3D artists, project managers, and art directors.
Our most popular services are studio images, lifestyle images, and animation videos. We are uniquely positioned to help brands trigger desired emotions and tell stories with their visuals because we have a background in product photography, art direction, interior design, and architecture.
We have specific quality needs, how can you meet those?
There’s always a six-eyes principle in our workflow: we work with one or more experienced artists who work on the operational side as well as a dedicated project manager who oversees that your instructions are followed and the deadlines are met. Lastly, we have an additional pair of eyes from an art director who makes sure that things are aesthetically pleasing and that the high-quality standards of P1 studio are met.

How much does it cost?
We cannot provide fixed prices before knowing your desired outcome. However, we alsways create a clear custom pricing structure after we are familiar with your expectations. For the creation of the photorealistic 3D models (which are needed for all applications), we usually split up the different products in “main models” and “variants”.
When there’s a large collection of products, we divide them further according to the degree of the complexity of the design & materials.
For the lifestyle images: we always make a price for the design and modeling of a setting, including one photorealistic image and with two revision rounds. You can then order additional images at a much lower price.
Most brands create 2-3 unique images within one interior setting and 7-10 in an exterior setting and possibly create some additional variations with different product combinations, lighting variations, etc.
After that, the setting is exclusively yours and you can order additional images at any time. The extra images are then made from parts that we have already materialized perfectly so it depends on whether or not we need to change something in the setting.
How long does a project take?
Depending on the complexity and volume of the project, a typical project usually takes 4-6 weeks from start to finish, including the different feedback moments. A faster delivery request is always possible, please reach out to team to discuss the capacity.
Is my data and information on our collection safe with you?
In line with our privacy policy, we ensure the protection of your company’s data and project details from external access. If desired, we can finalize an NDA to further safeguard your information. Upholding service quality and ensuring the security of your data is paramount to us. We provide both standard and comprehensive rights for the visual content we produce for you.
8. What does the process look like when I work with P1 Studio
We work with a simple three-step process where we first gather the input from you (& potentially suggest our own input/references too) and depending on the needs of the project and your preferences, we hop on a virtual call to discuss the project and make sure everything is clear.
Secondly, we get to work. We will upload our drafts into virtual feedback tools, where everyone on your side can comment in a very intuitive manner and it’s all very efficient and structured. We implement your feedback, usually there are two feedback rounds included, but more feedback is always possible when needed.
Lastly, we will deliver you the final results, usually in 4k resolution unless discussed differently. Afterwars, you can easily order extra items and the process will be even faster and more affordable.
9. How does it work to create lifestyle images?
Looking to create lifestyle images to let your products shine? We don’t need to arrange transportation, hire a photographer, rent a space, etc. What we do is design a virtual space that can then be used exclusively for your products.
We do need to have / create photorealistic 3D models of your products, so we can show them in the lifestyle images.
Here’s the good news: we can literally create anything you want – we can also fully take the creative lead on this or work according to your specificied briefing to achieve the desired result. Our team has experience with photo shoots, interior design, and art direction so we will always be able to sprinkle some of our own creativity on the projects.
We come up with several concepts, make sketches and mood boards to further clarify the exact setting and atmosphere we would suggest. Afterward, we create a simplified 3D model, and then you can choose the possible compositions.
Then it’s a process of creating the drafts / previews and implementing your feedback. Afterward, we deliver the images in 4K resolution unless specifically asked differently and the setting can be used exclusively by your company to order as many additional images as you like.
10. What are digital twins?
Sometimes referred to as “digital twins,” in this context it means photorealistic 3D models of your products. If you like to create packshots, lifestyle images and animation videos, we always first need to create these photorealistic 3D models so we can use them in those applications.
The good news is that after these are made, it’s extremely easy to create packshots of all the different versions of your products, so studio photography will be a thing of the past.
Maybe you already have certain 3D models of the products, then we don’t have to start from scratch and that could make a difference in the budget. The very first step of the entire process is, therefore, to first check the input you can give our studio.
